Born in Blackburn, in the north of England and with a desire to tell stories, Liam began making films. Initially this was in documentaries where his skills as a versatile filmmaker allowed him to create beautiful and intimate imagery across a variety of worlds. His cinematic style mixed with a tender realism and subtle humour has now translated into different genres, including music videos, short films and commercial work, all with story telling always at the heart.

Liam's current documentary 'The Last Storm' had it's World Première at Tribeca Film Festival 2018, won the Jury Prize at Hot Springs Documentary Festival and has qualified for the Oscars Best Short Documentary Competition 2020.  His films have also won awards at a number of festivals, including 'Best documentary' at Berlin, Barcelona,  New York and Leeds International film festivals.

They have screened at over 200 film festivals around the globe, including Tribeca, Sheffield Docfest, DOC NYC, London Short Film Festival and many more. They have also garnered 7 Vimeo staff picks and been featured in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Atlantic, Short of the Week and It's nice that.
